Why this data matters

Monthly inflation measures how much prices rise overall from one month to the next — a key indicator for understanding the bolivar's purchasing power. Monetary liquidity (M2) measures how much money circulates in the economy, and its change often anticipates inflationary pressure. AlTanto publishes both figures free for every user, no premium required, because it's context information anyone should be able to check easily.

Where this data comes from

It's pulled directly from the files that Banco Central de Venezuela itself publishes on its website (the BCV has no official API), and it's updated daily.
